Travel almost anywhere in the world and you will see UNC memorabilia. So I decided to find some of the best local sources for UNC memorabilia for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill – just for the fun of it. Roses, the quiet, little discount store in University Mall is an incredible source of almost anything you desire with UNC written across it. If you want a baby gift, you can probably find it at Roses Store in University Mall. I found cute hair ribbons, musical stuffed animals, affordable balls, and lots more while I was shopping for a baby gift. My husband found the perfect birthday gift for a senior citizen he knows – a sleep shirt with the big tarheel across the chest. What a winner! A huge percentage of the Roses Store floor space is dedicated to UNC memorabilia and it’s fun to sort through what they have available. Located in University Mall, along highway 15-501, access to the store is easy from inside University Mall, but I usually park right outside Roses entrance on the K & W Cafeteria and Harris Teeter side of University Mall – and run inside for another little, inexpensive UNC “thing” that I can only find at Roses, at the right price.
